this was a fun smilebooth project for a wedding in chicago… an ombré photobooth backdrop and oversized gem props for people to pose with!
i began this project by making tiny paper gem prototypes. i then enlarged the patterns and made the final structures from chip board with bristol board faces that we spray-painted blush and gold. the backdrop was made from strips of cotton fabric that we hand-dyed in varying shades of turquoise and then cut in a large fringe. see the backdrop in action here!
